Chapter 30
Marissa sat straight up. "What the hell is going on?"
I ignored her and gathered all the crap up in my arms and started heading towards the open door. Marissa jumped out of bed and began to follow me. "Calli? What is this about?"
"I don't want to fucking talk about it." I growled running down the steps, out the lobby, and onto the sidewalk. I walked down the hilll, hearing Marissa's ragged breathing while she tried to keep up with me. I headed down to the side of the rode and threw all of it into the rode, ignoring the honking of the cars. "Fuck you, Crosby." I yelled into the dark night.
Marissa put her arm around me. "I'm guessing something happen?"
"Yeah, I caught him fucking another girl."
"Was he really actually in the throws of doing it with her?" Marissa asked, her voice getting louder with each word.
"No." I admitted. "But trust me, they were well on there way."
"Come on. I'm going to go get my hockey stick and go blow his fucking knee out. He'll be able to fucking skate again!" She said vehemently.
"I'm not going to be immature. It happens." I said walking slowly back up the hill, my energy suddenly drained.
"Not to you, it doesn't." Marissa hissed. We walked back up to the dorm and Marissa locked the door behind us. "You can scream and go ape shit now, if you want."
I shook my head and pulled out the bottle of dye. "No thanks, I just want your help with this please."
Marissa looked at me questioningly and I explained. "I've been wanting to get red highlights for a long time, but I was worried that Sidney might get shit for it. I should have never let him affect me like that. So there's no better time than now."
Marissa grinned and led me to the bathrooms. "Taking this head on. Now that's why I love you." We read the directions and applied the dye to the strands wanted. I ran my thick, curly hair under the sink faucet and wrapped a towel around it.
I smiled bravely. "I guess we'll see how it is tomorrow."

I woke up the next morning feeling like a dead person. The girls on the team always teased me about how I sleep so much and that I sleep like a dead person. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful December day in PIttsburgh. To match my mood though, it should be pouring and specific people should be getting struck down with lightning. Marissa was writing something in a notebook and I climbed down from the top bunk. Raina burst into the door. "Calli! I saw! What the hell! I'm going to beat the shit out of him! Dig a hole so we can hide his body!" Raina shouted lilke a crazy woman.
It took a few moments to comprehend what she just said. "Wait..how do you know?"
She frowned. "You haven't seen it?" She handed me the sports section of the Post Gazette. On it was the pictures of Sidney and the slut nuzzling together at McDonalds. Underneath was the caption of. "Doesn't his girlfriend have black hair?" God fucking damn it. Now every one knows about my humiliation. I took the towel off of my head and ran my hand through it, my nervous habit.
Marissa and Raina's jaws dropped. "What happened to your hair?" Raina blurted.
I ran to the mirrow, forgetting about the dye job last night. My jaw dropped when I saw my hair. The dye must have spread or something. All I know is that all my long, previously black curls are now a deep, vivid, flaming red.
"You look like Ronald McDonald's wife!" Marissa said trying not to let the giggles erupt from her mouth.
I cracked a smile. "I was going for a change. Maybe not this much of one, but it's better than nothing I guess..."
"If any one can pull of this look, it's you. You look smoking, babe." Marissa commented.
I blushed and muttered a thanks. I ran a brush through the tangly mess and left it down. I put on a pair of yoga pants and one of my old Mt. Lebanon's sweatshirt and brushed on some make-up. "Do you want to go to the Strip?"
Marissa and Raina exchanged looks. "Are you sure you want to be around all of that? People are going to be talking.." Marissa told me.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Let me just grab my phone." I jogged to the floor where I had thrown it last night. I turned it back on to see that I had 45 missed calls, 23 voicemals, and 30 text messages. All of them were from either one of my four brothers, Sidney, Vero, Max, and various old high school friends. Without looking at any of them, I shut my phone off again. "Let's roll."

Chapter 29
Sidney's POV
We lost the game 2-1, but we fought hard, so I couldn't complain too much. Still it's frustrating knowing that we played our game but didn't win, we must have made some mistakes. The locker room atmosphere was tight, we were all thinking about what we could have done differently to win. Finally, after getting changed, showered, and interviewed I was able to leave. Nikki was waiting around, nosying around everywhere. She still looked the same as she did when we were seventeen; blonde, flowing hair, slender legs, big chest, pretty face. She was wearing some sort of leggings that hugged her perfectly and a tank-top probably not the best for the cold Pittsburgh weather, not that I was complaining though. Everything about her was almost the opposite of Calli. Nikki eagerly ran forward and hugged me tightly, her breasts pushed against my chest.
"Sid!"
I hugged her back, hesitantly patting her back. "It's nice to see you." Over my shoulder, Cookie gave me a thumbs up.
"You look great!" She squealed.
I smiled, "Thanks, so do you."
"I think hot is the better word." Nikki said laughing. I realized I was still hugging her, so I dropped my arms. This time, I saw Vero glaring at me. My grin, faltered, seeing Vero reminded me of Calli.
"Hey Nikki, will you wait for me here? I have to talk to some one real quick." She bobbed her head quickly and I strode towards Vero, grabbed her by the elbow, and dragged her into the lounge.
"What the hell are you doing, Sidney?' Vero hissed.
"I'm going out to dinner with a friend." I shot back.
Vero put her arms on my shoulders and shook me. "You have a fucking girlfriend, Sid. Remember Calli?"
"Calli doesn't own me, I can go out and do what I want."
Vero snorted, "Oh, so you're telling me that she wouldn't mind if she found out you were going out to dinner with this hot, leggy blonde."
"No, she wouldn't." I lied.
Vero shook her head disappointed in me. "You're ruining a great thing Sidney. Just remember that." She warned before spinning around and walking out. I joined Nikki again, feeling guilty this time. We walked out into the parking lot and she slid right into the passengers seat. I got into the drivers seat and drummed my fingers on the wheel.
"So where do you want to go?" I asked.
"McDonald's!" Nikki exclaimed. I shrugged, it wasn't exactly my idea of a good place to catch up, but I did know a good secret one. I drove for about a half hour before pulling into a very old one, which looked like it was about to fall down.
"What are you doing, planning on killing me?" She asked giggling.
I laughed, "It's all part of my plan." She took my hand and skipped inside before sitting inside a booth. "You know what I like." she said winking. I went to the counter and ordered an extra-large sundae with extra whipped cream. I hadn't pigged out in a while, it was going to feel good. I paid for it before sliding into the booth next to Nikki, so we could share it easier. I looked around the small room, there was only one other girl in the whole place. She looked to be about in college and she just had a large soda and it looked like she was studying intently.
I handed Nikki a spoon, "There you go, my lady." She laughed and dug in, giggling the whole time. I ate some of it before she started to really start laughing. "What?" I asked self-consciously.
"You have an ice-cream mustache!" Nikki exclaimed. I rubbed my face, trying to get it off.
Nikki kept laughing. "Here, I'll get it off for you." She said. She took her thumb and rubbed the skin above my mouth. She lingered over my lips for a second before pulling away. I blushed at the feeling of her smooth skin over my lips again.
Calli's POV
I was laying in my bed all by myself. The team was out celebrating the win and Raina was visiting her family. I was too much of a downer to do anything after my fight with Sidney. My phone buzzed and I picked it up quickly, hoping it was Sidney.
"Calli?" A familiar voice asked.
"Maddie?" I asked confused.
"Yeah, hey it's me. I haven't seen you in forever, but are you still going out with Sidney Crosby?" She asked. I sat next to her in home room, but since she goes to RMU, I haven't seen her in a while.
"Yes, why?" I asked puzzled.
She paused. "I hate to tell you this, but he was just at McDonald's with this blonde chick. They shared a sundae and she wiped something off his lips and they were laughing the whole time." Maddie said slowly.
My heart dropped to my knees. "They must just be friends or something.." I said trying to be positive.
"Yeah, I'm sure that's it." Maddie said unconvinced.
"Thanks for telling me. We should hang out sometime soon Mads. See you around." I said before hanging up. I grabbed my jacket and walked out of the room. I had to get to the bottom of this.
Sidney's POV
Nikki and I finished the sundae quickly, so I took her back to my room at the Lemieux's, going in the side entrance. I put my keys down on the table and hung my jacket up. "So have you seen any colleges you like?" I asked. I turned around to see Nikki just standing there, smiling. "I think we both know the real reason I'm here. You." She purred and stepped closer. I was frozen to my spot. I know I should do something, kick her out and then go see Calli. For some reason though, I just stood there and let her pin me against the wall. She pulled off her shirt, letting her large breasts rub against my chest. "Fuck me, Sidney." She ordered. I bent my head down and sucked one of her breasts, flicking my tongue around her nipple before tugging at it. Nikki put her hands down my pants, taking my growing erection in my hands. Through my boxers, she began squeezing and running her hands up and down my cock, causing me to groan against her breast. That's when the front door opened and I quickly stood around, hoping it was just one of the guys. Calli was standing there, just wearing a Pitt hoodie and a pair of jeans. Still she looked more beautiful than the girl I just cheated on her with it.
"So it's true." She said flatly. "I guess you've moved on from sucking down ice cream though, so sucking breasts."
I moved closer to her. "Calli..it's not what it looks like.."
She laughed, "Seriously Sidney, does it look like I was born yesterday." She turned her head to the side, clenching her jaw. "All my friends told me that you were a professional athlete, they warned me that you would cheat. I didn't believe them, I told them you were different. Turns out they were right, you're just like the rest of the them." She said bitterly. I tried to take her hand but she drew it back. "Don't fucking touch me Sidney. Don't ever fucking talk to me again." She hissed before turning to the door. She halted for a second before undoing a clasp behind her neck and through something at me. It was the heart necklace I got her when I told her she had my heart. "It belongs to that slut now." She said before shaking head. I just stood there helpless while I watched the girl I love walk away from me.

Chapter 28
“Sidney!” I yelled before running after him into the parking lot. It was pouring down rain, but I didn’t care.
“What do you want now?” He asked icily standing in front of his car, not looking at me in the eye.
“It was right after my mom died! Sidney, I was in the car with my mom when she died, driving me to hockey practice! I went through a rough time!” I said desperately trying to explain.
“Then why didn’t you tell me?” He spat out angrily.
“I didn’t want you to look at me like that poor pathetic girl!” I yelled back at him. He shook his head before getting into his car, “Whatever Calli, I really don’t want to talk you right now.” He said before driving away. And I just stood there, letting the rain pour on me.
Sidney’s POV
I drove off angrily, I didn’t really need this crap tonight because we have a game tonight. I was her boyfriend, I had a right to know that she did something that drastic. Now that I think about it, she never really told me that much about herself. Was she really just a puck bunny? I slammed my fist down on the steering wheel before parking in Mario’s driveway. I wasn’t in the mood for conversation, so I went in the door to the guest wing. I sat on my bed before pulling out my phone to call my dad, he would know what to do. There was a voicemail from a number I didn’t recognize, so I curiously listened to it.
“Hey Sid, it’s Nicole. I’m in Pittsburgh looking at colleges because I’m transferring. I know you have a game tonight, but if you want to call me back, that would be great. Bye..” She said before trailing of awkwardly. I grinned, Nicole was the first girlfriend I had back in Rimouski. I broke up with her because I didn’t feel like doing the whole long-distance relationship thing. I immediately called her back.
“Hey Nikki?” I asked when I heard the phone pick up.
“Sidney! Hi! How are you doing!” I heard her say excitedly.
I smiled, my fight with Calli forgotten about. “I’m doing great, how about you? Why are you transferring colleges?” I asked.
“Ehh, I’m just not loving the small college vibe.” She told me.
I glanced at my watch, “I’m sorry Nicole, but I have to head over to the rink soon.” I hesitated before saying. “But how about you come to the game? I’ll leave you a ticket and then we could go out to dinner after the game to catch up?”
I heard her clap her hands excitedly. “That sounds great!”
“See you tonight!” I said before hanging up. My smile faded slightly when I thought about Calli. I don’t think she would be too happy with me going out to dinner with my ex. But she had her own game tonight so she would never know…
