Character descriptions

Okay, I never put up a good description of the characters. I know it's a little late, but it's better late than never. So without holding you for any longer.. *drum roll* character descriptions!!

LATE EDIT: SOME OF THE PICTURES SHOW UP SOMETIMES, OTHER TIMES THEY DON'T. BECAUSE OF THIS, I PUT LINKS UNDER ALL THE PICS, SO IF THEY DON'T WORK CLICK ON THAT

Calli-Calli plays goalie for the Pittsburgh Panthers at Pittsburgh University. She has a fun-loving attitude and gets very hyper. She loves doing anything for fun and will start dancing in the public if her favorite song is on. On the other hand though, she gets very shy around new people. She's had some problems with ex-boyfriends, so at first she tends to put some walls up. Her two roommates are Raina Williams and Marissa Haefner and . Calli's mom died in a car accident two years ago, so that's left some problems that no one knows about. She's fiercely protective of her friends. She loves her boyfriend, Sidney Crosby, to death and will do anything to protect him.

Physical appearance- She has long, curly black hair. It's not tight curls, but more loose curls, but still very curly. xD like Taylor Swift's hair. She has light, bright blue eyes. She's about 5 feet 7 inches and has a slim, muscular, athletic body. I couldn't find one picture to fit her, so here are several

This is a picture of how curly her hair is:

Sidney Crosby- Sidney Crosby is a 21 year old hockey player that grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. He plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins as a center and loves it. Around the media, he may seem robotic, but he is the opposite of it. He's out-going and loves joking around with the team. He's confident on himself, but not cocky. He loves to crack some jokes and also have a great time with his friends. His family his very important to him and he's relatively a good boy. Since he's so busy playing hockey, he wasn't looking to date. That all changed when he met Calli Shaw, she turned his world upside down.

She's funny and out-going and loves to meet new people. Ever since Calli's mom died, she is always looking after her. She's determined to keep her grades up though, but still loves to go out and have fun. She's 5 foot 4 inches and has wavy brown hair with light blue eyes.

He loves to hang out with his friends and girlfriend, Vero. He almost always joins in on teasing and joking around with people. He's a great friend to any one he meets. He's fiercly protective of Vero because his female fans can tend to try and bring her down and guys hit on her all the time.

Veronique Larosee- Is the devoted girlfriend of Marc-Andre Fleury. She grew next door to him and they've been dating steadily since they've been 16. She's beautiful with brown hair and eyes. She's very supportive of Marc and loves to help with Penguin charity events. But, she loves to go out and party with Marc and have fun, wild nights. She's shy around certain people, but around friends and family she becomes very funny and hyper.

There's never been romance between any of them, just really good friends. He loves to play football, but isn't playing it at the collegiate level. He has a bad boy attitude, but deep down he couldn't do anything to bad. He loves to party and get drunk though. He tends to get a new girlfriend every week though. He's well built and 6 foot 2 inches with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Ok, so we know that almost all the Pittsburgh Penguins are mentioned in this story and have a pretty good role in the story. But to save me from going insane, I'm not going to get pictures and describe all of them.

So I made a playlist last night for Calli and Sid, expect that to come up on the side of the blog tomorrow. I wrote a couple chapters last night, so I'll post one tomorrow :D. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment, I love it when you comment. xD it makes me so happy. So I LOVE U ALL! And I hope we make it through free-agency tomorrow without me posting in an outrage or like sobbing out of control. I will sob if we lose certain players, I will. So sleep tight, and have dreams about being with whatever player you love, if they're from Pittsburgh then they are sexy. Please say what you think of the character descriptions I posted, I want to know if you agree with them, or what you thought they looked/acted like. If you find a better pic, please post the link. Luv ya!

Chapter 22

I had a REALLY hard time writing this chapter.

Chapter 22

Sidney’s POV

“Calli..” I begged when she slammed the door. “I’m just going to sit out here until you come out.” I said sitting down against the door, knocking weakly on the door. I heard Calli and Marissa arguing quietly, “Please….”

After about a hour or so, she slipped outside. She changed into a pair of jeans and sweatshirt and had combed her hair. “Yes Sidney?” she said politely.

I sighed, “Calli, please come on a walk with me.” She nodded and I carefully laced my fingers through hers. She didn’t protest, but she didn’t seem totally happy. She just seemed sad. We sat down in the lobby.

“Calli, I should have never called you a puck bunny because you are the exact opposite of one. I was just mad and jealous that he’s done something with you that I haven’t.” I stated, staring into her eyes.

She laughed quietly, “I was expecting to pull out a big fight, but you didn’t do anything wrong. It was all me. You’re right, I should have told you earlier. It’s just that I honestly forgot that we had a thing.”

“You shouldn’t have to tell me everything that happened in your past, it’s in the past.” I agreed. (start listening to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8aqUEd6bRU )

She smiled and kissed me on the lips softly, “I love how you forgive me so easily.” In the background, the song Halo by Beyonce started playing. I pulled out the necklace I got for her out of my back pocket. It was a (http://www.tiffany-sterling-silver.com/images/tiffany-necklaces-P090.jpg ) silver heart with a chain around it.

I swept her hair over her shoulder and gently clasped it. “I just want you to know that from this moment on, you and only you will always have my heart. No one or nothing can take that away.” I stated, emotion thick in my voice though.

Calli’s POV

I stared at him speechless. “Sidney..this is beautiful. This is too much money, I can’t take this.” I murmered. He squeezed my hand tightly. “Nothing is too good or expensive for you. You’re just perfect.” He leaned in and kissed me, first keeping it sweet and simple, but then deepening it. A camera flash went off from one of the guests.

I pulled away hesitantly, “People are seriously taking pictures at 3 AM?” I asked. He shrugged and kissed me right away again. “I can deal with it now. I’m going to be with you for a long time. They’ll just have to deal with it.” I grinned and realized Halo was over, “That’s our new song.” I whispered to him. We talked for awhile before I went back to the hotel room, promising him I would come back tomorrow. I curled up with the blankets wrapped around myself, just in this joyful bliss. I grinned in the dark, remembering the events of before. I wrapped my fingers through the necklace. Before I fell asleep, I got my phone and changed my ring tone to “Halo” before falling off into a joyful sleep.

P.S. Trust me on this, they won't be always making up this easily...

My Birthday

How do you think I spent the beginning day of my Sweet 16 birthday? Watching the Penguins win the Stanley Cup all over again..it's an addiction. I'm not expecting to do too much today, I already had a huge party. Seriously. There was thousands of people their, and Sidney decided to bring this big cup. I skipped a final to go to that, who cares if it brought my GPA down some. Still though, more championship gear wouldn't hurt..
I'm going to get my permit tomorrow. Wish me luck, knowing me I'll probably crash into something just getting into the car.

What to look for tomorrow:
~A new chapter or possibly two
~A post that you get to know me

My #1 birthday wish: I wake up tomorrow and I'm Calli and I have the hottest boyfriend in the world. Let me have my dreams.

2009 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(cuz saying that will NEVER get old)

P.S. I have  Jonas Brother song stuck in my head. There's never been a more annoying thing.

Chapter 21

Ok, so for this chapter I’m going to do their views each. So I’ll give you Calli’s view and Sid’s view on the same thing. Leave a comment if you don’t understand xD idk. So how many of you are going crazy without seeing Sidney playing live? It's only been two weeks and it's driving me insane. It's ALMOST making me wish summer was over, so we could at least hear about pre-season. Summer and hockey would be the most amazing thing, best of both worlds. Oh, and football too! But hockey and summer don't mix so *sigh* we go insane. At least we get to read about how many times our ca-razy boys drop the cup all over the placce!

Calli’s POV

I sat there on the bed stunned. I can’t believe he just called me that, he had no right to call me that. I don’t know if I’m mad or sad, probably both. I looked down and realized my hands were shaking and my eyes were burning. I haven’t broken down sobbing since my mom died, unless it was about her. I was not about to break that over a boy..but this wasn’t just a boy. Sidney Patrick Crosby was supposed to be my soul mate. I don’t know where we stand, if we are broken up, together, or just fighting. I did the only thing I could think of, I started shoving my clothes in my bag. I grabbed my equipment and called Marissa.

“Hey Mars, do you mind if I spend the night with you at the team hotel? Sid and I got in a fight..” I tried to continue, but my voice cracked.

“Of course Cals! Call me as soon as you get here and I’ll come down to the lobby? Are you ok” She asked concerned.

“I’m fine.” I said automatically, never do I let people know something is wrong. That just isn’t me.

I took one last look at the hotel room. This wasn’t how tonight was supposed to go. Tonight was supposed to be filled with fun and memories that I would never forget. Damn you Carey Price. I shut the door trying to clear my head, I shouldn’t let him get to my head like this. This was being weak and I hate being weak.

I couldn’t help be relieved when I got a taxi on the first try and was in the lobby at the hotel where my team is staying. Being around friends almost automatically makes me feel better and more confident. It’s probably because I’m not alone. Marissa came over and gave me a huge hug. “I went out and got cake batter, chocolate, chunky brownie, and raspberry ice cream. I know they are all of your favorites so yeah..”

I smiled at her sadly, “Thanks Marissa.” I laughed  softly. “Ice cream can fix anything.”

She smiled hesitantly also. “Amen to that.” She then slung her arm around my shoulders and we walked to the room I was supposed to be sharing with her anyway. We sat down on one of the beds, facing each other.

“So what happened?” she asked, handing me a spoon. I quickly explained what happened with every little detail.

She stared at me. “You’re seriously going to let him call you that? He had absolutely NO right whatsoever to call you that. You are allowed to have ex-boyfriends and you don’t have to tell him every little itty bitty thing that ever happened to you.”

Her being mad at me gave me the boost I needed. “I know! I mean if he would actually have listened to me being flipping out, I could have explained. I mean I’m not pretending I was some angel, I should have told him. But he should have let me explain. And to go as far as call me a puck bunny..” I said angrily.

That’s when my cell phone started ringing to my tone “Stronger.” I can never see myself changing that ring tone, unless a song changed me significantly. It was Sidney and I almost answered it out of habit. “Don’t pick up.” She reminded me, “you can’t let him know that he can call you something like that and get away with it.”

I nodded because it made sense, but that doesn’t mean that every ring tore into me like knives. He called five more times before I finally turned off my phone. Marissa looked at my guiltily. “Calli, I was wrong. That boy obviously loves you  more then anything in the world, you should really talk to him.”

I shrugged, “I’m really not in the mood to fight. I’m exhausted.” She nodded, “Whatever you need.”

We decided to watch some chick flicks, such as 27 Dresses, Women, and He’s Just Not Into You. Chick flicks and eating almost all of the ice cream had calmed me down a lot. We had settled into our beds and I was nodding off when the doorbell rang feverishly at around 3 AM. I got up and opened it, shocked at who it was.

Sidney’s POV

I slammed the door shut behind me furiously. I took a few deep breathes trying to calm down. And people say I don’t have a temper. I felt like punching something over and over and over. Preferably Carey Price’s face. Just the thought of him doing something with Calli that I haven’t..just made me sick to my stomach. I went to Marc-Andre’s room immediately, seeking out some advice. To my surprise, the whole team was there.

“Duude, you look pissed? What happened?” Max asked from the floor.

“I found out that Calli had sex with Price.”

“Fuck, dude have a beer.” Jordan said handing me a Bud Light. I laughed for a moment, “I forgot that since you’re in Canada you can have beer.”

“Legally at least.” He said grinning.

“So how long ago did they get down dirty? A couple months ago? A year ago?” Flower asked from over a bag of chips.

“Um probably around three years ago.” I admitted. His eyes flew open, “Are you a fucking idiot? That was THREE years ago. What the hell did you say?”

I played with my hands, “I um uh well..I called her a puck bunny.” I said ashamed.

He glared at me, Marc and her are really close, he’s like her older brother. “That was a jack ass move to do Sid.” He pointed out.

Kris had spit out his chips. “For something like that?! How many random girls have you had sex with?” He asked.

“Probably not many, because unlike you Tanger he’s not a man-whore and frankly most woman aren’t attracted to him.” Tyler joked.

I stared at them all. “You’re right! I have to go get out!” I practically yelled before running out back to our hotel room. I was so fucking stupid, this girl was the love of my life and I went and said something stupid like this. I prayed she would forgive me and I opened the door. “I’m sor-“

That’s when I noticed she wasn’t in there. I ran to the dresser and checked for her clothes. Empty.

Her bags. Gone. I forced myself to breath normally, I just had to find her. I ran all around the hotel looking for her, even in the gym. She was no where. I was beginning to panic, if anything happened to her I would blame myself forever. I called her, hoping so bad that she would pick up. Once she didn’t, I called over and over. Finally, it went right to her voice mail. Knowing that she was ignoring my calls felt so incredibly bad. Out of options I went to the clerk’s desk.

“Have you seen a beautiful girl with  long, loopy curls that are black, light blue eyes, she’s about 5’7 or 5’8. She’s slim, but muscular.” I ran off all of her information flawlessly.

He nodded. “Yes sir, she got a taxi. I think she was going to this hotel.” He wrote down the hotel and I shook his hand. “Thank you so much.”

I quickly got a taxi and went to the hotel. I knew this was where her team was staying, and if she was upset she would go straight to Marissa’s room. They won’t leave each others sides. Thankfully, the clerk was tired, so without a fight he gave me her room number. I ran up the flight of steps because I was too impatient for the elevator. Finally, I saw the door. Without hesitating, I rang the doorbell several times. I saw her beautiful face open it and it settle into shock. Then she slammed it shut.

Chapter 19

Sorry that it's so late guys! After horse camp, I helped let out all of the horses and then went on a trail ride with Amanda (my horse riding best friend). Then I had to go to my job (exercising, grooming, and feeding horses). I then had my two sisters (my best friends) come over and we attempted to watch a scary movie. Expect an update right after camp tomorrow, so around 3ish! Have a great night everyone, I hope it's filled with dreams about Sid!

Chapter 19

Carey Price. Carey fucking Price. We went to the same goalie game the summer I was turning 16. I was stupid and wanted a boyfriend. It was a summer fling for me, but when I broke up with him, he took it harder then I thought. He pleaded and begged that we could say together. He said him going to the NHL wouldn’t drive us apart. Honestly, I almost forgot that we dated that one summer. We never talked or saw each other anymore. He was thrilled to see me, I was horrified.

I jumped back from his hug. “C-c-carey.” I stuttered, having a hard time breathing. Whenever I freaked out, my asthma kicked it. Sidney was just staring at me, I couldn’t tell if he was pissed off or  not.

“You look great! I hear you’re playing goalie for the Pittsburgh Panthers. How long are you here for? Maybe we could go out for a dinner….”He gushed. That did it, Sidney’s face turned mad.

Freaking out, I did the only thing I though of. “Um I’m um having an asthma attack, I’m just going to go fix that.” I stuttered before forcing myself to walk to the bathroom. Almost instantly I pulled out my phone, and after just a ring Raina picked out. “So how’s Canada going?” she asked, but sounding distracted. I could tell she was reading a magazine, so I practically shrieked. “Rains! Put the magazine down! Carey Price just gave me a hug INFRONT of Sid!”

“Oh shit…” she muttered. I know I might be overreacting a bit, but when your ex-boyfriend who happens to play a goalie in the NHL meets your new boyfriend who also happens to be in the NHL, things can’t get more worse.

“Um ok, tell me EXCATLY what he said and did.” She demanded. I quickly explained it ot her and once again she repeated. “Oh shit…”

“Ok Cals, don’t panic. Is there any way you can get out of there like right now?”

I shook my head even though she couldn’t see me. “No, I can’t. I’m supposed to be with him and the team at dinner.”

“Hmm ok, were you just going to the bathroom or did you have an excuse?”
“I told them I needed to try and get my asthma under control, which is kinda true.” I admitted before pulling out my inhaler.

“Stay in there for 20 more minutes. Come back and tell him everything under control. He is going to be distant, but he won’t make a scene in front of every one. Act as normal as possible, but don’t draw attention to yourself. And remember, everything you tell him in private will probably end up getting heard from the team because they saw everything too.” She listed off, trying to calm me down.

“Okay, I love you honey. Good luck and call me when you get a chance!” She said encouragingly before hanging up. I paced up and down the hallways, too nervous to do anything else. After twenty minutes was up, I walked back to the table staring at my shoes the whole time and slid into my seat next to Sidney.

“Are you ok?” Sidney asked tensely. I just nodded me head.

The whole dinner was awkward. Sid and I barely talked to each other, but chatted with other team members. With dread I got in the car with him and drove back to the hotel. To my surprise, he was quiet on the way home. But he was too quiet, he wasn’t teasing me and we weren’t laughing like we normally did. We got into the hotel room and I sat softly on the bed, finally breaking the silence. “I’m sorry Sid.”

“How do you know him.” He said coldly, not even turning around.

“I came up here for a camp the summer I was turning 16. We met and we dated for the summer, but I broke up with him when I had to go home. I swear I haven’t talked to him since then.” I replied, hoping it was enough. But of course it wasn’t.

“Why didn’t you ever tell me?” He asked darkly, starting to under his tie now.

I stared at the pattern on the carpet. “Honestly, I forgot and I’ve had a lot of different boyfriends. I didn’t think this one would be much different.”

He spun around angrily, “You damn right knew it was different! That’s why you didn’t tell me! Price is a jackass Calli.” He finished and then turned around again. “Did you sleep with him?”

                  “Sid is that really neces-“

                  “Answer the question Calli.”

“I suppose once or twice, but it’s nothing I swear!” I admitted.

He turned around again. His expression wasn’t mad, it was worse. It was just this cold, distant look.

“My dad was right, you’re just a puck bunny.” He said before slamming the door behind him, leaving my heart shattered.

Chapter 17 and 18

Hey guys! I'm so sorry that it took so long to update! There's two main reasons: First, I had family come, so I gave them the tour of the Burgh. And it's my 16th birthday in a week..so guess what that means? My room is exploding from 2009 Stanley Cup Champions stuff, it's amazing. My favorites are probably the license plate rim, the keychain, and the trashcan. I can almost drive! Second, my boyfriend/best friend we were fighting about some stupid stuff, so it was kinda hard writing about love and stuff. I get off of school tomorrow, but then I start horse back riding camp right away. So lot's more updates!

Chapter 17

Calli’s POV

I woke up early that morning, I was dead nervous. I had my horrible pre-game meal four ego waffles and a coke. I really need to change that, it’s not high school anymore. Sidney’s parents drove us to the ice rink, it was dead quiet except when Sid and his mom chatted occasionally. We finally got to the rink, “Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Crosby for driving me here.” I said sincerely.

“It’s our pleasure Calli! I hope you have a great game tonight.” Trina said smiling at me warmly.

Taylor handed me a small bracelet made out of different colors. “I wear one for good luck,  so here.” She said shyly.

I smiled at her, “Thanks Tay, it means a lot to me.” I said before sliding it onto my wrist. Sid helped me get my bag out of the trunk. When his parents weren’t looking he kissed the top of my head and pulled me into a hug. “You’re going to do great.” He whispered into my ear, his breath tickling my skin.

I nodded, “I’m so nervous though.” He opened his mouth to say something before shrieks of “LARK!” broked out.

I turned around to face my teammates, the fellow freshman looked nervous to. Shannon, a junior, asked my concerned, “Are you okay Lark? You look kinda sick…”

I shook my head, “Yea, yea I’m good. Just extremely nervous..very nervous.” She ruffled my hair, “You’ll do great, you’re one of the best goalies I know.” She said encouragingly. I smiled

“Thanks Shan, I’ll do my best.” Marissa came up and practically jumped on my back. “I AM SO NERVOUS!” she yelled. I saw Sidney’s parents watching us, Trina smiling and Troy still with the stone face he always wore.

“Shhh Mars, a wee bit loud aren’t we?” I hushed. She rubbed her hands together, “I’m terrified that I’m going to make a mistake.”

“Hey, at least if you mistake a big, red light doesn’t go off.” I said reasonably.

“Yea, but if I make a mistake and go off my man or something, that could lead directly to the big, red light going off.”

“Good point there. Let’s just try and not let the big red light go off? “

“Deal.” Marissa said right away before taking my arm and dragging me off to the locker room. I quickly waved to Sid before I couldn’t see him anymore.

We won the first game 3-2, lost the second one 4-1, and won the last one 5-0. I got a fricking shut out. Words can’t describe how ecstatic I am, and how sore I am. I changed into a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt before going out into the lobby of the rink. The second he saw me, Sidney hugged me tightly. “You did great!” he said excitedly.

I smiled, “ I didn’t do too well in the second game.” I reminded him.

“But then you came back and got a shutout. “ He replied.

I heard some one clear their throat, “Um Callista, I mean Calli, can I talk to you?” a gruff voice said. Sidney looked up, “Be nice dad.”

I nodded and he motioned for me to walk around with him. “You did a great job Calli, you’re a natural goalie.”

“Thank you.” I said politely. He looked at me and sighed. “I would like to apologize for my horrible behavior yesterday. It was rude and I shouldn’t have said the things I said. I guess I’m just really protective of Sid because he’s still my little boy that would run into our room at 5 AM every morning, begging to go to the pond to shoot around. I’m just terrified of him being hurt and taken advantage of. But you two seem to be meant for each other. And I now know that you truly love him.” He gushed out. I grinned, “You don’t know how great that sounds, and of course I forgive you. I completely understand your hesitance, but I could never take advantage of Sid. I love your son with every part of me.” I told him honestly.

He then handed me a coffee, “ I bet you want this so bad right now.”

I laughed, “How did you know?”

“After Sid always played the first game in a new league, he would be sore and tired, but coffee always fixed that.” He replied.

Chapter 18

Sid’s POV

“Hey Calligirl, I got a call from Staalzy and he says a few of the guys are going out for dinner. You up for going?” I asked.

She nodded, “Of course, I love hanging out with the guys! I just need to change.”

“Same, we can go back to the hotel.” I replied before getting into the Range Rover and driving to the hotel. I picked up a pair of dark wash jeans and a tan shirt and went to change in the bathroom. When I came back out, she was combing out her hair. She changed into a jean skirt with black leggings and a deep purple v-cut long sleeved shirt. Damn, she looked sexy.

I groaned, “Whenever you dress up to go out, I never want to go out.” I said before wrapping my arms around her waist. She smiled and bit her lip, “But we have to, if we don’t the guys will figure it out and we’ll never here the end of it.”

I pulled her closer a suggestive grin on my face. “I can deal with some teasing for a little.”

She pushed me away sighing. “Trust me, this is hard for me to. Let’s go out to dinner, have a good time, and then come back and have a better time.”

I grinned. “I like the way you think Miss Shaw.”

She took my hand and we left.

“Woah Cals, you look hot tonight.” Jordan remarked when we got there. I jokingly growled, “Get away from my girl Gronk.” Every one laughed. Dinner was going great until Calli got up to go to the bathroom. That’s when we all heard a deep voice exclaim “CALLI!” before pulling her into a deep hug.

Chapter 16

Ok, so I hate portraying  Troy like this, because I honestly think he's a great man and father. He's obviously the proudest parent in the world and he's always there for Sidney. Look at the bear hug he gave Sid after they won the cup. Haha, but him being like this is important for a later chapter, so that's how it has to roll for now. Have a great night! I'll try and post tomorrow, but I have to finish up a project and I might have another riding lesson.

Chapter 16

Sidney’s POV

“Ok dad..” I looked at my dad nervously. I know he’s always trying to do what is best for me, and that he loves me. But sometimes what he thinks is best for me, really isn’t best for me.

“I think that girl isn’t good for you.” He said coldly, looking at me.

I heard my mom let out a little gasp. I stared at him in the eye, “That girl, is Calli.” I snapped. “And I’m in love with her.”

“But she plays hockey, and her schedule is so busy.” He stated, but not looking at me in the eye anymore.

I forced myself not to roll my eyes. “Haven’t you been telling me for years to not date a clingy girl.”

Out of habit my mom murmered, “Sid honey, please don’t back-talk your father.”

He said grimly, “It’s just that she seems very flaky. That she won’t be there for you when you really need her.”

I faced him, “She’s already been there for me more than anyone else has, well besides you two.” I admitted.

Mom smiled and put her hand over mine, “I personally think she’s great. She’s energetic, young, in college, and clearly head over heels in love with you.”

“That’s it. You two are too young to be all in love and stuff.” My dad frowned again.

I shot back, “By the time you were 21, you and mom already had me.”

“But she’ so young and in college..are you sure she’s not just pretending, and in for the money?”

That made me snap. I felt my cheeks turn red in anger, and I curled and uncurled my fists under the table.

“How dare you say that about the girl I love? Can’t you just be happy for me, just once?” I practically yelled. He opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off. “Calli is actually working two jobs, and one of them is coaching a PeeWee team and the other is working at a stable! And when she has time, she works at a rescue barn! She is an AMAZING girl. She gets so mad at me when I offer to pay for something. And it makes me feel bad, while I just pull out a bill for dinner, and she is dumping her purse out to find her half! Whether you like it or not, she’s around for hopefully a long time!” I gushed out.

My dad was  stunned and my mom was dabbing the corner of her eyes. “My little boy has grown up,” she said proudly.

“I just don’t like her, I’m sorry.” My dad said.

All three of us heard the stair creak, but it was too late. I turned around to see Taylor and Calli on the steps, with Taylor’s goalie equipment in both of their hands.

“Oh Cals..” I said hesitantly.

She forced an unnaturally bright smile on her face and I knew she was struggling to hold it together. “Tay and I are just going to be outside playing some street hockey.” She said quickly before her and Taylor rushed out.

“Thanks Dad.” I glared before running out to get them.

Calli’s POV

Taylor was staring at me before hesitantly patting my back. “It’s ok Calli, he doesn’t really mean it. He’s just really protective of Sid.” She said simply.

I tried to put a smile on my face, “Thanks Tay, you’re a great kid.”

“Im 13.” She reminded me. I laughed even though it sounded hollow, “How could I forget?”

I heard the front door slam shut and Sid running down to me. He faced Taylor, “Hey Taylor, do you want to meet us out back? Make sure the net is ready and we’ll be their in a few minutes.”

She wasn’t a dumb kid, she nodded before running back. He wrapped his arms around me, and a felt a few tears slide down my cheek. “Aw Calli don’t cry, my mom loves you and my dad will come around.”

“I just knew this was going to happen..” I murmered. I’ve never had this bad self-esteem before. I guess it happens when you fall in love.

He took his thumb and wiped away my tears, “I love you with every part of me and that’s all what matters. Every one could hate, which they don’t, but I would love you anyway.”

I laughed and wiped my eyes with my hand. “You are too nice to me.” I told him. He hugged me one more time, “I’ll do anything to make you laugh.”

Sidney's POV:

We played some hockey with Taylor until it got to late. Since she had an early tournament tomorrow went up to the guest room. My parents were in the room next to us, I insisted that I slept on the couch in there. I would have loved to cram myself next to her in that

little bed though..I had several compliments I wanted to tell her, but we were both aware of the

thin walls. All of a sudden my phone vibrated and I looked at it, wondering who would be texting me.

“Goodnight hockeyhunk, love ya.” It read
