Chapter 10

 

The box office seats were amazing. I chatted with Nathalie about my hockey career and her and Mario’s four kids for awhile. The Penguins won 5-1. Guess who was the first star with 2 goals and 3 assists? Other than that though..the game was almost boring. I almost fell asleep several times, but I blame that on the early morning practice and all the studying. Still..it’s strange I’m so tired. By the time I got down to the locker room, there was only Sid, Marc, and a few guys left.

Sidney’s POV

I was joking around with Flower about what my reward was going to be tonight for playing so well. The minute Calli came in though, I knew it wasn’t happening tonight. She looked exhausted, with huge bags under her eyes.

“Oh wow Cals, are you okay? You look awful?” I asked, concerned. She game me a faint smile. “Gee thinks, and I’m sorry, but your “reward” is going to have to wait for another night. I should probably stay away from you, I might be coming down with something.”

 

“Bullshit.” I said, pulling her onto my lap. “You just sleep Calligirl, I’ll wrap up soon.” She nodded, already closing her eyes. She wrapped her arms around my neck and put her head on my chest, and before I knew it, she was fast asleep. I grinned over her head at Marc-Andre, “Damn, how did I get so lucky?” I stroked her soft hair, careful not to wake her up.

“Honestly dude, I don’t know. I mean your not nearly as good looking or charming as me..” he teased. But then his tone turned serious, “But are you guys like serious enough to have sex?”

 

I shrugged, “I obviously want to and I think we’re ready. I mean you see us. We’re almost together all the time, and when we’re not together, we’re texting or talking on the phone or iChatting.”

He nodded, “Make sure you use protection dude, because that would be baddd. If you’re this serious, do you think your going to tell your parents soon?”

“I actually have it planned out. I was thinking she could come with me to the road trip to Montreal.. and we could tell my parents in person.” He nodded and replied, “And what about the press, “Well I think I’m going to hold that off for as long as possible, I think it’ll be too much stress and everyone will make  a huge deal about it.”

 

“That’s a good idea man, remember how crazy it got when people found out Vero and I were dating?” I shook my head before looking down at Calli, making sure she was still sleeping. God , she was so beautiful and peaceful when she slept.

 

And that’s when the flash of a camera went off.
