Chapter 21

Ok, so for this chapter I’m going to do their views each. So I’ll give you Calli’s view and Sid’s view on the same thing. Leave a comment if you don’t understand xD idk. So how many of you are going crazy without seeing Sidney playing live? It's only been two weeks and it's driving me insane. It's ALMOST making me wish summer was over, so we could at least hear about pre-season. Summer and hockey would be the most amazing thing, best of both worlds. Oh, and football too! But hockey and summer don't mix so *sigh* we go insane. At least we get to read about how many times our ca-razy boys drop the cup all over the placce!

Calli’s POV

I sat there on the bed stunned. I can’t believe he just called me that, he had no right to call me that. I don’t know if I’m mad or sad, probably both. I looked down and realized my hands were shaking and my eyes were burning. I haven’t broken down sobbing since my mom died, unless it was about her. I was not about to break that over a boy..but this wasn’t just a boy. Sidney Patrick Crosby was supposed to be my soul mate. I don’t know where we stand, if we are broken up, together, or just fighting. I did the only thing I could think of, I started shoving my clothes in my bag. I grabbed my equipment and called Marissa.

“Hey Mars, do you mind if I spend the night with you at the team hotel? Sid and I got in a fight..” I tried to continue, but my voice cracked.

“Of course Cals! Call me as soon as you get here and I’ll come down to the lobby? Are you ok” She asked concerned.

“I’m fine.” I said automatically, never do I let people know something is wrong. That just isn’t me.

I took one last look at the hotel room. This wasn’t how tonight was supposed to go. Tonight was supposed to be filled with fun and memories that I would never forget. Damn you Carey Price. I shut the door trying to clear my head, I shouldn’t let him get to my head like this. This was being weak and I hate being weak.

I couldn’t help be relieved when I got a taxi on the first try and was in the lobby at the hotel where my team is staying. Being around friends almost automatically makes me feel better and more confident. It’s probably because I’m not alone. Marissa came over and gave me a huge hug. “I went out and got cake batter, chocolate, chunky brownie, and raspberry ice cream. I know they are all of your favorites so yeah..”

I smiled at her sadly, “Thanks Marissa.” I laughed  softly. “Ice cream can fix anything.”

She smiled hesitantly also. “Amen to that.” She then slung her arm around my shoulders and we walked to the room I was supposed to be sharing with her anyway. We sat down on one of the beds, facing each other.

“So what happened?” she asked, handing me a spoon. I quickly explained what happened with every little detail.

She stared at me. “You’re seriously going to let him call you that? He had absolutely NO right whatsoever to call you that. You are allowed to have ex-boyfriends and you don’t have to tell him every little itty bitty thing that ever happened to you.”

Her being mad at me gave me the boost I needed. “I know! I mean if he would actually have listened to me being flipping out, I could have explained. I mean I’m not pretending I was some angel, I should have told him. But he should have let me explain. And to go as far as call me a puck bunny..” I said angrily.

That’s when my cell phone started ringing to my tone “Stronger.” I can never see myself changing that ring tone, unless a song changed me significantly. It was Sidney and I almost answered it out of habit. “Don’t pick up.” She reminded me, “you can’t let him know that he can call you something like that and get away with it.”

I nodded because it made sense, but that doesn’t mean that every ring tore into me like knives. He called five more times before I finally turned off my phone. Marissa looked at my guiltily. “Calli, I was wrong. That boy obviously loves you  more then anything in the world, you should really talk to him.”

I shrugged, “I’m really not in the mood to fight. I’m exhausted.” She nodded, “Whatever you need.”

We decided to watch some chick flicks, such as 27 Dresses, Women, and He’s Just Not Into You. Chick flicks and eating almost all of the ice cream had calmed me down a lot. We had settled into our beds and I was nodding off when the doorbell rang feverishly at around 3 AM. I got up and opened it, shocked at who it was.

Sidney’s POV

I slammed the door shut behind me furiously. I took a few deep breathes trying to calm down. And people say I don’t have a temper. I felt like punching something over and over and over. Preferably Carey Price’s face. Just the thought of him doing something with Calli that I haven’t..just made me sick to my stomach. I went to Marc-Andre’s room immediately, seeking out some advice. To my surprise, the whole team was there.

“Duude, you look pissed? What happened?” Max asked from the floor.

“I found out that Calli had sex with Price.”

“Fuck, dude have a beer.” Jordan said handing me a Bud Light. I laughed for a moment, “I forgot that since you’re in Canada you can have beer.”

“Legally at least.” He said grinning.

“So how long ago did they get down dirty? A couple months ago? A year ago?” Flower asked from over a bag of chips.

“Um probably around three years ago.” I admitted. His eyes flew open, “Are you a fucking idiot? That was THREE years ago. What the hell did you say?”

I played with my hands, “I um uh well..I called her a puck bunny.” I said ashamed.

He glared at me, Marc and her are really close, he’s like her older brother. “That was a jack ass move to do Sid.” He pointed out.

Kris had spit out his chips. “For something like that?! How many random girls have you had sex with?” He asked.

“Probably not many, because unlike you Tanger he’s not a man-whore and frankly most woman aren’t attracted to him.” Tyler joked.

I stared at them all. “You’re right! I have to go get out!” I practically yelled before running out back to our hotel room. I was so fucking stupid, this girl was the love of my life and I went and said something stupid like this. I prayed she would forgive me and I opened the door. “I’m sor-“

That’s when I noticed she wasn’t in there. I ran to the dresser and checked for her clothes. Empty.

Her bags. Gone. I forced myself to breath normally, I just had to find her. I ran all around the hotel looking for her, even in the gym. She was no where. I was beginning to panic, if anything happened to her I would blame myself forever. I called her, hoping so bad that she would pick up. Once she didn’t, I called over and over. Finally, it went right to her voice mail. Knowing that she was ignoring my calls felt so incredibly bad. Out of options I went to the clerk’s desk.

“Have you seen a beautiful girl with  long, loopy curls that are black, light blue eyes, she’s about 5’7 or 5’8. She’s slim, but muscular.” I ran off all of her information flawlessly.

He nodded. “Yes sir, she got a taxi. I think she was going to this hotel.” He wrote down the hotel and I shook his hand. “Thank you so much.”

I quickly got a taxi and went to the hotel. I knew this was where her team was staying, and if she was upset she would go straight to Marissa’s room. They won’t leave each others sides. Thankfully, the clerk was tired, so without a fight he gave me her room number. I ran up the flight of steps because I was too impatient for the elevator. Finally, I saw the door. Without hesitating, I rang the doorbell several times. I saw her beautiful face open it and it settle into shock. Then she slammed it shut.
